- Assisting the head chef with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management

- Ensuring all food is cooked and served at the correct temperature and is visually appealing

Position: Sous Chef
Reports to: Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our Mediterranean restaurant team. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the head chef with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, as well as supervising and training kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and a passion for Mediterranean cuisine.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary school or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
