  • Preparing and cooking a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and standards
  • Ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and properly stored
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, including maintaining equipment and work areas
  • Assisting in the development of new recipes and menu items
  • Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
  • Monitoring food inventory levels and placing orders as needed
  • Ensuring that all food is cooked and served at the correct temperature and is visually appealing
  • Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
  • Managing and training other kitchen staff, as needed

Position: Chef/Cook

Reports to: Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our Mediterranean restaurant team. The Chef/Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and properly stored, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and a passion for Mediterranean cuisine.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including maintaining equipment and work areas

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary school or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
